About the Event
August 22-23rd
11AM-4PM
Liberty Park
Spokane
The two-day, immersive Pop-Up: Village of Care is designed to show what is possible when housing, healthcare, culture, and community connection exist in one shared space.
This walk-through experience brings together free healthcare services, housing navigation, food, art, movement, and healing spaces in a temporary “micro-village” built directly in the heart of the community. Families, neighbors, partners, and leaders are invited to see, feel, and experience a future where care is accessible, culturally rooted, and built around belonging.
The goal is to demonstrate a new model of neighborhood-based care — one that meets people where they are, removes barriers, and centers dignity, safety, and community wisdom.

Take Up The Cause
The word kijiji comes from Swahili and represents a village — a place where everyone belongs, everyone is seen, and no one struggles alone.
Beloved Kijiji is a community-centered vision for a future where care is not fragmented or hidden behind systems, but lived out in shared spaces. It is a model where housing, healthcare, food, culture, healing, and opportunity exist together — like they do in healthy, connected villages around the world.
Rather than asking people to navigate complex systems, the village brings support directly to the community.
The Pop Up: Village of Care is the first living expression of this vision — a temporary, walk-through mini village that allows neighbors, leaders, and decision-makers to experience what a permanent, culturally rooted village of care could look and feel like in Spokane - a Beloved Kijiji Prototype. Where families can access housing, healthcare, food, culture, and support in one place — not as a service, but as an ecosystem of care.
This is not just an event.
It is a blueprint for a more connected, compassionate future.

Together, we are designing the future of care – rooted in trust, joy, and belonging.
When you support the Pop Up! Mini Village of Care, you are not just funding an event — you are investing in:
-
Real-time access to free care for underserved communities
-
Culturally responsive, trauma-informed services
-
A scalable model of neighborhood-based health and healing
-
Tangible, visible impact over 48 hours

Community is built neighbor by neighbor, gift by gift.
Your generosity creates more than an event — it creates access, dignity, and hope.
When you give, you help a child receive care, a family find stability, and a neighbor feel seen and supported. You help bring healthcare, food, housing support, and healing directly to the people who need it most.
Your support makes the Village of Care possible.
