Our Pop Up Village of Care is built by community — and volunteers are at the heart of making this event welcoming, safe, and impactful.

By volunteering, you are helping create a space where families can access care, find resources, experience joy, and feel a deep sense of belonging.

Why Volunteer?

  • Being part of a powerful, joyful, and healing experienceWhether you can give a few hours or a full day, your presence matters.

Volunteer Roles

 

Volunteers will be matched based on interest, availability, and skills.

Roles may include:

  • Welcome & Check‑In Team
    Greet families, provide wayfinding, and help create a warm first impression

  • Zone Support Assistants
    Support healthcare, housing navigation, food, youth, or wellness zones

  • Food & Hospitality Support
    Assist with meal distribution, hydration stations, and hospitality areas

  • Youth & Family Engagement
    Help facilitate activities, games, and creative spaces

  • Logistics & Event Support
    Assist with set‑up, breakdown, and general event flow

  • Story & Impact Support
    Help guide participants to storytelling areas or assist with consent and documentation

What We Ask of Volunteers

  • Commit to at least one shift (3–4 hours)

  • Attend a brief orientation (virtual or in‑person)

  • Approach all participants with respect, care, and cultural humility

  • Uphold a welcoming, non‑judgmental environment


No prior experience is required — training and support will be provided.


Volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless volunteering with an adult.
