For two days, Liberty Park becomes a Village. A free, walk-through space where healthcare, housing support, food, culture, music, and healing live side by side.

Come see and feel what care looks like when it's built around belonging: accessible, culturally rooted, and centered on dignity. No insurance. No appointment. No barriers. Just neighbors, partners, and leaders experiencing the future of care together.

This is the first living expression of Beloved Kijiji, a permanent village of care coming to Spokane.

The word kijiji comes from Swahili and represents a village — a place where everyone belongs, everyone is seen, and no one struggles alone.

Beloved Kijiji is a vision for a future where care isn't fragmented or hidden behind systems but lived out in shared spaces. Where housing, healthcare, food, culture, healing, and opportunity exist together, the way they do in healthy, connected villages around the world. Instead of asking people to navigate complex systems, the village brings support directly to the community.

The Pop Up: Village of Care is the first living expression of this vision — a walk-through Village where neighbors, leaders, and decision-makers can experience what a permanent village of care could look and feel like in Spokane. A place where families access housing, healthcare, food, culture, and support in one place — not as a service, but as an ecosystem of care.
