Fred Hutch Cancer Center
Providing cancer education resources with the help of a giant interactive, walk-through exhibit of the human colon to illustrate examples of healthy colon tissue, polyps, and the progression of colon cancer.
Community Health Educators (CHEs) provide interactive colon tours to share knowledge about colorectal cancer, screening, and prevention.
STEM Activity: Life-Size, Colon tours with C.R.A.I.G
About: The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (OCOE) works to improve health outcomes and address cancer health disparities through authentic relationships, advocacy, and collaboration. This includes community-based research, resource support, and cancer prevention education informed by community-determined needs. The OCOE team works to build community partnerships across Washington State (WA).
CHAS Health
CHAS Health Mobile Clinic has two exam spaces, a blood draw area, and is wheelchair accessible, allowing CHAS Health to assist the community through a variety of services.
About: The CHAS mobile clinic, operated by CHAS Health, is a mobile healthcare unit that provides primary care, pediatric care, behavioral health, nutrition, health screenings, and women's health services to communities in Spokane, Whitman, and Latah Counties that may lack convenient access to healthcare facilities.
Providence
Providing CPR training, pharmacy outreach, and mental health resources.
STEM Activity: Ask a pharmacist, Save a life
About: This event aligns with Providence's mission and values, which include the belief that health is a human right. Providence is committed to caring for the whole person and reducing health disparities.
North East Support Team
(NEST) Coalition
Providing medication lock boxes and pouches for safe storage (as supplies last each day), an opportunity for community members to sign up to know about programming we provide for free ahead of time, and educational pamphlets for caregivers and youth around substance use and mental health.

About: NorthEast Support Team (NEST) Coalition, is a group made up of community members and organizations working to promote health and wellness, and prevent/reduce substance misuse and abuse primarily with youth through action, education and collaboration.

College admissions for Spokane community colleges including on-site acceptance for eligible students.

About: At Maddie’s Place, we know that babies and caregivers learn to calm and regulate together — a process called coregulation. Strong bonding and soothing support not only help infants thrive but also strengthen parents and families. Maddie's Place is a 501(c)3 non-profit, free-standing recovery nursery for babies experiencing withdrawal due to prenatal substance exposure. We provide high-quality, holistic, multi-disciplinary medical and non-medical care for infants with prenatal substance exposure (also known as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) and wraparound support for their parents/caregivers. Our comprehensive model of care brings babies safely through their withdrawal, facilitates early bonding whenever possible, offers hope and support to parents struggling with substance abuse, strengthens families, improves early intervention, and helps mitigate the long-term effects suffered by children with in-utero substance exposure.
